Rich Port

This is our second full day in Puerto Rico. We arrived here on Sunday and stepped out into the blinding tropical sun punctuated by the shade of large palm trees. San Juan is a bit like Miami, though perhaps a bit less tame, and since it is technically America it has been infiltrated by all the big american companies. We rented a car and got out of San Juan as swiftly as possible. We took the highway west along the north shore of the island and drove until dusk. The vegetation is beautiful, there are lots of large kapok trees in shades of neon orange and yellow dotting the hills. The houses sport cheerful color schemes, sometimes peeling, but undoubtedly loved.Today we will explore some more! Pictures to come...
