Talula's Table

Recently we got lucky enough to join a friend's year-out reservation to Talula's Table in Kennet Square.  We all sat at a large butcher-block style table in the restaurant's kitchen for 3+ hours as the staff wizzed around us preparing course after course of tasty morsels for us to enjoy.  It was a fantastic and totally unique meal - something I will remember for a long time.

Ciniq Joy

I got the new Cintiq tablet by Wacom and I must say wow.  Not only does it function as my monitor, but it also is pressure sensitive allowing me to draw directly on the screen as if it were paper.  The stand adjusts so that I can use it flat or standing up like an easel.  And if that's not satisfying, the thing comes off completely so I can draw with it in my lap!

I will never abandon traditional materials.  There's something irreplaceable about pen-to-paper happy accidents and the tactile feel of paint, but the Cintiq creates greater fluidity between the traditional and digital approaches.  I highly recommend this sleek toy for anyone who creates a lot of art.  A good investment.
